Jesus says in Matthew 5:13 ” You are the salt of the earth”
Salt throughout history has been used to clean wounds, stop infections, and stop inflammation. Jesus calls you as a believer to be that salt in our society!
The world has been wounded by the pandemic, police brutality, riots, and fires. Things are literally inflamed like when a body suffers a serious wound or infection. But God has called us, the church, to be the antiseptic and the antivirus. Instead of inflammation, we bring love, peace, and joy!
Each of us has a part to play, and a gift to give. By prayer and using our God-given gifts to lift up Jesus we stop the spiritual infection and take society in a better direction.
God has given each of us a voice, a talent, and the ability to bring unity and healing in our society. People are suffering from physical, spiritual, and emotional pain. But when they see us together to answer the call of Jesus as he prayed in John 17, then they will know the love of God and be saved.
We are the peacemakers, the children of God, and we are the change! Come join “ I Am the Change Prayer Walk “ Sunday, June 28th from 4 pm-7 pm, located at 628 E Adams St. We will walk around the city from there praying, singing, and demonstrating the love of God on our streets!
Come be the change!
